Scott Shipman|I actually read this delightful little book earlier in the year while visiting my son's law school library. Got home and bought an old copy. Splendid and insightful writing that goes to the core of recorded history. Doing a reread adding marginalia; this is very good and original thinking on the very foundation of Western Civ.
