Blomberg|This is an excellent edited volume. Several of the chapters are real gems, if I was a professor teaching a Korean folklore or culture course I'd consider having my students read this entire volume because ALL of the chapters are thought-provoking and discussion-worthy (even the not-as-impressive ones). There aren't a lot of good works in|About the Author|Laurel Kendall is Curator in Charge of Asian Ethnographic Collections in the Division of Anthropology, American Museum of Natural History, and also teaches at Columbia University.
Contributors to this volume explore the irony of modern things made in the image of a traditional "us."
